Latchwell has no accounts and no server that stores your data. Everything about your locks stays on your phone.

This site has no analytics, no cookies and loads no third-party scripts. Links between you and your key holder carry their data after the #, which browsers never send to our server. Those links do sit in your messages and browser history; each unlock works once and expires within 30 minutes.

A key holder's signing key is created in their browser. Where the browser supports it, the key cannot be exported through the browser's crypto API; code running on this page can still use it to sign, which is why we load no third-party code. On browsers without built-in Ed25519 we fall back to a JavaScript implementation, and the page tells you when that is the case.

Hosting: Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare keeps standard request logs (IP address, path, time) for a short period; fragments are not included.
